Every moment history is being created and this Meetup has been organised for those that don't want to miss it! There is virtually nothing untouched by history and so much of history is related. Maybe like me you're a World War history enthusiast or does the history of the Royals our own and others hold fascination for you? The Grimaldis or Romanovs perhaps? Have you ever been to the Tower of London? Have you been inside Buckingham Palace or Tower Bridge for that matter? Did you know Churchill ha …

Here you don’t have to work to stay cultured! We’ll find you all the interesting tours, the surprising history, that unknown gem of a book or that exhibit at your local gallery you missed! Our book club events are a bit different and are aimed at people who don’t have time to desperately read the whole book the night befo …

So in your twenties you've done all those pub crawls and waded through 99 million people to get to bar. All evening you've shouted to the people next to you just to ask them their name and what they do for a living, you go home with ringing ears and then you get to a realization and now... you'd rather discover Picasso or go to a quiet restaurant or listen to some jazz or classical music and talk to the person opposite you. If so, this is the group for you. The idea is to find a peaceful place t …

Some of the art societies are a bit stuffy. I would like to start a group that has amateur artists and appreciators of art who can meet up to visit art exhibitions, galleries, museums and maybe hold art days. Perhaps a group of us could hire a studio/room or whatever. Maybe some of us could hold joint exhibitions of our work to reduce costs? Anyway, whatever interest you have in art, it would be good to hear from you :)

This group is primarily intended for 'young' Londoners (aged 20-35) who would like to meet-up, socialise and enjoy a variety of events in and around London together. Such events are likely to be educational or 'cultural' in nature (e.g. museum/gallery exhibitions, talks/debates, dining, etc.) as well entertaining or 'fun' (e.g. cinema, theatre, live music, etc.). According to demand, we might also organize more outdoor or 'physical' activities (e.g. walking / hiking, cycling, sports, etc.), and …

Are you one of those people who say "I don't know much about art but I know what I like" ? Wouldn't you prefer to be able to say " I do know much about art and I know why I like it" ? Do you love art but sometimes feel secretly guilty for not 'getting it'? Do you ever stroll through a gallery and feel you should be gaining much more from your experience?
