The Pre - Raphaelite Exhibition at Tate Britain and the recent refurbishment of the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow re-inpired my interest in the Arts and Crafts movement. This groups will organize a combination of events around writing about art. We will visit permanent collections and new exhibitions at major Art museums (Renaissance to contemporary), and monthly contemporary art gallery crawls. Museum and gallery visit will be complimented or followed by cafe discussions about current art exhibitions and meetings to share and discuss issues in art writing, criticism and journalism.

Some of the art societies are a bit stuffy. I would like to start a group that has amateur artists and appreciators of art who can meet up to visit art exhibitions, galleries, museums and maybe hold art days.
